Recent progress of amino acid transporters as a novel antitumor target

چکیده

Abstract Glutamine transporters transport different amino acids for cell growth and metabolism. In tumor cells, glutamine are often highly expressed play a crucial role in their growth. By inhibiting the acid of these transporters, cancer cells can be inhibited. recent years, more attention has been paid to study transporter. this article, differences between ASC system transporter 2 (ASCT2), L-type 1 (LAT1), cystine–glutamate exchange (xCT) research progress on mechanism action corresponding small molecule inhibitors summarized. This article introduces 62 related ASCT2, LAT1, xCT. These novel chemical structures provide ideas design targeted as well important references clues new anti-tumor drugs.

Boramino acid as a marker for amino acid transporters.

Amino acid transporters (AATs) are a series of integral channels for uphill cellular uptake of nutrients and neurotransmitters. Abnormal expression of AATs is often associated with cancer, addiction, and multiple mental diseases. Although methods to evaluate in vivo expression of AATs would be highly useful, efforts to develop them have been hampered by a lack of appropriate tracers. We describ...

Cationic Amino Acid Transporters

We have identified the third member of a family of cationic amino acid transporters in lipopolysaccharidestimulated murine macrophages. The deduced amino acid sequence of this transporter is the same as MCAT-2 (mouse cationic amino acid transporter-Z), the low affinity transporter expressed in hepatocytes, except for a stretch of 41 amino acids that connects the eighth and ninth membrane-spanni...

Heteromeric Amino Acid Transporters

• The heavy subunits (molecular mass of ~90 and ~80 kDa for rBAT and 4F2hc, respectively) are type II membrane N-glycoproteins with a single transmembrane domain, an intracellular NH2 terminus, and an extracellular COOH terminus significantly homologous to insect and bacterial glucosidases (FIGURE 1). Recently, X-ray diffraction of the extracellular domain of human 4F2hc revealed a three-dimens...

Role of amino acid transporters in amino acid sensing.

Amino acid (AA) transporters may act as sensors, as well as carriers, of tissue nutrient supplies. This review considers recent advances in our understanding of the AA-sensing functions of AA transporters in both epithelial and nonepithelial cells. These transporters mediate AA exchanges between extracellular and intracellular fluid compartments, delivering substrates to intracellular AA sensor...

Quinone-Amino Acid Conjugates Targeting Leishmania Amino Acid Transporters

The aim of the present study was to investigate the feasibility of targeting Leishmania transporters via appropriately designed chemical probes. Leishmania donovani, the parasite that causes visceral leishmaniasis, is auxotrophic for arginine and lysine and has specific transporters (LdAAP3 and LdAAP7) to import these nutrients. Probes 1-15 were originated by conjugating cytotoxic quinone fragm...
